A Sunday Morning Word......

As a little girl growing up in Church, I learned so much, My Mommy used to wake us up early to read the bible and pray before School, as School was our Mission Field, (What a better way to reach the masses than through your School) Anyways we became better readers and I personally found many an opportunity to spread the Word.

One of the Lessons I remember most was from Ephesians 6:10-20 :

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Mommy had it posted on the Fridge all decorated and each morning before left the house we (all three) would stand there and recite it and literally put on the Full Armor Of God. It helped so much to remind me that when things were starting to go bad I had my shield of Faith to fight off the Fiery Darts.

Guess What Donovan and I will be doing each morning!

Happy Sunday Morning.

Blessings,

Lori

Amen!! There is nothing more then the "Word of God" that can do just that in fighting off exactly what we need to survive in this world. But most of all to truly believe and feel his word in our lives is our DEFENSE!!!

"Happy Sunday to you!!"

"Oh yeah...

and I do agree, going to school is such a battle field and can be used to really witness and truly show God's love to a dying world. That is exactly how I felt too while growing up and going to school with other little girls and boys. Wow, how challenging is that?

I truly think growing up as a little girl, and boy with The word of God planted in their heart and going to Church to Sunday School and having believing parents that stand for nothing else then truth that lies in his word. Is such a learning tool, for children to step out and really get the opportunity to shed Christ Love to a Dying World!

"Thank you for bringing up my memories on that one!!"
